The story of Becky Augustine Jewelry Designs, LLC first began when I purchased some beads, and a small amount of basic supplies at a craft store, one day. I made a necklace, and a bracelet from the small lot, and fell in love with the art of jewelry making! I started making jewelry for myself, friends, and family. I was receiving many compliements, and suggestions to start selling my pieces, and just could not resist the challange! So now, here I am, Becky Augustine Jewelry Designs, LLC, and loving every minute of it!
I have received my Bachelors degree, in Fine Arts, from Mount Saint Mary's College, and have always wanted art to be an integral part of my life, and now it is!
I started doing research on how to create different types of necklaces, bracelets, and earrings, and how to utilize the various techniques. From wire, to stringing, to chain, I have had a wonderful time incorporating this into beautiful, simple, elegant jewelry for everyday wear!
I purchase quality materials, from reputable vendors, for all of my jewelry. The materials I work with are semi-precious stones, freshwater pearls, sterling silver, gold plate, Swarovski crystals, and gold vermeil. The designs also make for very classic, and natural looking jewelry.
Each piece is born from a simple idea, and made with extreme care, patience, a great passion for the art, and enthusiasm!
I am continually fine tuning my skills through research, other artists, and classes.
